Picão, where our home is, is in the heart of the Costa Vicentina national park in south west Portugal. It is a green, blue and brown landscape of mountains and beaches, water reservoirs and fields. There are three major beaches all within 10 minutes drive. The village of Aljezur with its cafes, restaurants, markets and shops is 10 minutes away, restaurants overlooking Arrifana beach are 2 minutes away.
